Susan A. Thomas founded Ajasat in 2002 after nearly 25 years’ experience working with companies on market development, marketing, communications and go-to-market strategies. Her chief skills lie in positioning and messaging, creating high-level content such as speeches, whitepapers and web copy, and managing thought leadership programs and projects.

Susan began her career as a business journalist covering technology and banking and finance, and in the early 1980s became a public relations consultant with one of Silicon Valley’s premier technology public relations firms. In 1988, she started her own public relations firm, Thomas Associates, Inc., which she owned and managed for 10 years before its acquisition by the international PR firm, Ketchum. Susan became a partner at Ketchum and for three years was director of the firm’s Global Technology Practice. She has also served as a market analyst at the high-tech market research firm Dataquest, subsequently acquired by Gartner, as director of marketing for a technical software start-up and as vice president of marketing for enterprise software company, VMware.

Susan has written hundreds of articles and speeches on business topics. Between 2004 and 2007, she co-authored or ghost-authored four books. Her clients are industry leaders including American Express, Apple, FedEx, Hyperion, IBM, Intuit, Sun and Visa as well as numerous start ups in technology and financial services industries.
